Barry Glazer and Gina Gargeu, the owners of The Downtown Dog Resort & Spa, wanted a place that was an all inclusive “Dog World” with an emphasis on rescue work and care. Gina and Barry were tired of seeing animals helplessly wondering the streets of Baltimore. Baltimore needed a NO-KILL alternative and they were on their way to making their dream happen. The Spa works tirelessly with BARCS and Re-Cycled Love to give less fortunate dogs a second chance for a good life.

Being pet owners themselves, they also realized the need for a quality daycare and boarding site in the city.

At The Downtown Dog Resort & Spa, your pet will find endless opportunities for fun and relaxation and, most of all, peace of mind while you’re away. If you're boarding your dog, the resort boasts luxurious runs with heated floors, elevated beds and an air purification system.

Daycare at The Downtown Dog Resort & Spa is an action packed and fun filled day. Full day dogs play for six hours per day and our half day dogs play for four hours per day with scheduled breaks or as needed.

Our latest addition to the family is Doctor Marcella W. Bonner, DVM, MS, Chief of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bonner runs The Swan Harbor Animal Hospital which is located in the resort. The hospital offers state of the art equipment and top of the line veterinary care with your pet's best interest in mind.

Other services offered by the resort include a hydro-therapy pool which can be used by our patrons for personal use. We have a spacious outdoor lawn for dog play in as well as large and small dog play rooms.

We also offer grooming by appointment only.
