Daycare?
1. For your pet's
first stay, please be sure to bring their shot records (Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella) ,
clearly marked medication (if required) and any special
instructions in regard to their care or medical history.
Any following visits should have the same, though we do
not see your pet's shot records unless the information
has been updated or the records in our files have
expired.
2. Yes, you can, but
please remember pets treat their toys differently when
outside of the home. So we suggest that you do not bring
a special or favorite toy. As part of our pest control
policy, DDR cannot accept fleece or cloth toys. DDR also
has toys and treats that we provide to our guests during
their stay.
3. Yes, dogs from the
same household can be boarded together if there are no
special medical or dietary needs for either dog. Please
be ready to inform our staff if dogs must be separated
for feedings.
4. We feed both in
the morning and evening depending on our guests'
individual needs.
5. No, we do not
allow outside bedding. DDR has a very stringent and
effective pest control policy. Part of this policy is
not to allow outside bedding and certain types of toys.
DDR provides bedding of various thickness and size to
our guests from our own inventory to ensure the health
and comfort of our guests.
6. All pets must be
at least 16 weeks of age and have received a full series
of DHPP vaccines (usually 3 vaccines several weeks
apart, please contact your veterinarian with questions
about vaccine series) prior to staying at DDR
Policies
DDR Required
Vaccinations Policy:
All canine guests
must be up-to-date on their Rabies, DHLPP (Distemper)
and Bordetella (K9/Canine Cough, Kennel Cough) in order
to stay at our resort and spa. We also recommend that
you discuss the Canine Influenza vaccine with your
veterinarian.
DDR Privacy Policy:
All DDR customer information is considered confidential.
DDR will not, at any time, sell, lend or give personal
information to a third party unless required to by a
court order or law. Information given in person at times
of visits and through
www.downtowndogresort.com are covered in this
policy.
DDR Personal
Belongings Policy:
DDR is not responsible for toys left with the pet.
Leashes, Collars and Tags are not kept by DDR, as we
have our own leashes for the safety of your pet. All
personal belongings with the exception of acceptable
toys, will be returned at check in.
DDR Medication Policy:
DDR can administer medications, either pills or
injections in nature. There is an additional charge of
$1.00 per dose with a maximum charge of $5.00 per day.
DDR Feeding
Policy:
DDR purchases its own food through various brand names
to ensure a balanced meal every day to each of our
guests. You may bring your pets normal food from home,
however; we do ask that the food is in a sturdy,
resealable plastic or metal container labeled with the
pet's name and owner's last name.
DDR Pest Control Policy:
DDR does not accept any outside bedding of any kind and
does not accept toys made of fleece or cloth. Each guest
will be checked upon arrival to ensure the presence of
fleas and ticks are not found. If either are found, the
guest will have to be bathed and treated prior to check
in with appropriate charges added to the bill.
DDR Cancellation Policy:
In most cases a 24 hour cancellation notice is required.
For all Holidays a 48-hour cancellation notice is
required . Failure to give a 48-hour notice during
Holidays will result in a Cancellation Fee.
DDR Payment Policy:
All reservations and grooms must be paid in full at time
of service. DDR does not bill. We accept Cash, Travelers
Checks and all major debit and credit cards for the
convenience of our customers.
